Chateau Vartsikhe – a Place where Everything Begins with the Love of Hospitality

0 0

What amazing tranquility!
I remember when I first visited Chateau Vartsikhe, it was already evening – a pleasant spring chill, the scent of drizzle-soaked soil all around, the sound of chatter in the distance, and smiling hosts. Very soon, I too became part of that cheerful gathering around the fireplace. The Chateau’s delicious red wine, new people, and the feeling that this place is far more amazing than I had imagined. And the new day was still ahead.
It’s impossible not to fall in love with a place where people work with all their heart, speak with love, create, and you can feel how proud they are to be part of it all.
Chateau Vartsikhe is located in Imereti, specifically in the Baghdati region, spread across 80 hectares and combines viticulture, wine cellar, hotel, restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, and a hippodrome.
Just a few weeks ago, another amazing space was added to all this – the Chateau Theatre, which is designed for signature events and large celebrations.

As Davit Tsertsvadze, the founder of Chateau Vartsikhe, says, the idea behind creating all this was rooted in the love for the region and thoughts about its development, which initially materialized through establishing a nursery farm.
It was while searching for suitable land for the farm that he discovered this place with a hill and came up with the idea to create a diverse resort in the region alongside viticulture and winemaking.
Despite the fact that all this involved considerable risks, as there was no highway at the time, work on implementing the idea actively began anyway.

Now when you visit Chateau Vartsikhe, you can enjoy many interesting activities:

– Sound therapy sessions in the heart of the forest

– Horseback riding tours in Ajameti Nature Reserve

– Vespa rides

– Enjoying time in treehouse accommodations

The Chateau Vartsikhe team continues working on regional development with a specific multi-year plan, which includes building a new hotel with padel courts, additional pools, bakeries, bar, and restaurant.
I find the Chateau’s Educational Foundation very interesting and respectable: the company finances educational programs for 5 employees annually, both within the country and abroad.
